Public Meeting on Zimbabwe’s Fight for Freedom

Public Meeting on Zimbabwe’s Fight for Freedom

This coming Monday GPJA will join other groups in hosting a public meeting with Munya Gwisai who will talk about the fight for freedom in Zimbabwe.

Munya is a former MP for Highfield in Harare. He was elected as part of the Movement for Democratic Change (MDC) but sees the need for a more developed strategy to not only rid Zimbabwe of Mugabe but to bring hope for improvement in the lives of Zimbabweans left behind in poverty in their millions by the failure to restructure the economy after independence in 1980.

Munya is a member of the national coordinating committee of the International Socialist Organisation (Zimbabwe) as well as the deputy chairperson of the Zimbabwe Social Forum.

The meeting is being held at Auckland Trades Hall, Great North Road, on Monday April 23rd at 7.30pm.
