Results of QEII National Trust Election for directors
The two successful candidates in the recent QEII National Trust election were Mr James Hunter, a farmer and QEII Trust
Covenantor from Waipukurau, and Ms Jo Ritchie an environmental planner from Helensville.
Two new directors were sought from the 24 nominations. They will serve a three year term, effective from 1 April this
year.
Chairperson Sir Brian Lochore welcomes the new directors but said he was a bit disappointed with the low number of votes
returned.
“While the voting return was only 25% compared to 50% in the previous election, this was probably a reflection of having
24 quality candidates and people genuinely finding it difficult to choose,” he said.
The Trust advises that there are two Ministerial appointments for Trust directors becoming available from 1 June 2007.
Nominations for these positions close on 20 April 2007 and more information is available on the QEII website
