CCS library goes online
CCS has launched its unique collection of disability information on a new online library catalogue.

Maidaborn CEO, CCS. "It's a simple low-key database with great search tips, direct links to the CCS Information Service
and resources can be ordered online".
The library project was funded by Telecom's Community Connection sponsorship programme which provides more than 1,000
voluntary welfare and charitable organisations with up to $5 million in support each year.
"This is one of the first projects we've supported through our Community Connection programme and we believe it will
make a real difference to CCS's clients," says Telecom's Sponsorship Manager, Kimberley Burcher.
Through the programme, Telecom provides CCS with sponsorship on its telecommunications services, as well as funding for
specific projects each year. Telecom says CCS's online library is the perfect example of how technology can make things
a little easier.
"It is tremendous that CCS is able to make its great resources available to all of New Zealand," says Minister of
Disability Issues Ruth Dyson. "This online library catalogue is not just for disabled people but employers, librarians,
teachers and many others," she said.
CCS said the online library means people around New Zealand can access resources more readily and also enables CCS staff
to direct people to relevant material more efficiently. "It means disabled people can access the information they really
