11 January 2007

Media Release

NZ On Air Appoints TV Manager

NZ On Air has announced the appointment of a new Television Manager, Glenn Usmar.

“We’re very pleased to have secured Glenn’s services,” said NZ On Air Acting Chief Executive Bernard Duncan.

“He has extensive and varied experience in television in New Zealand and overseas, both in public and commercial broadcasting. Most recently he’s been Programme Manager for Sky TV’s Rialto channel.”

Mr Usmar said he is delighted to have secured the position.

“There are so many changes happening within the television industry at the moment that it’s an exciting time to embark on a challenging job like this one,” he said.

“I’m looking forward to working with local broadcasters and producers to continue to grow the range of excellent New Zealand programmes we see on screen.”

Mr Usmar will take up the position of NZ On Air Television Manager in February.
