National thanks retiring Deputy Leader.
National Party president Judy Kirk today thanked Gerry Brownlee for his work as the National Party’s Deputy Leader.
“Mr Brownlee’s efforts and hard-work as Deputy Leader of the Party are well known. I would personally like to take this time to thank him on behalf of the Party for that work.
“However, I also acknowledge that Mr Brownlee is and will, remain a key member of National’s team focussed on winning the next election. So I continue to look forward to working with him closely to achieve that goal.
Mrs Kirk concluded by commenting that:
“While Mr Brownlee has retired as Deputy Leader, the real value and expertise that Gerry brings to the National Party hasn’t been lost. The real goal is yet to be achieved, and I thank Gerry for being committed to that goal”.
