Tax Incentives For Two Parent Families Would Stop Copy-Cat Kahui Child Killings Says Watchdog
A Justice Watchdog organization is congratulating the police on an arrest in the Kahui case but says the twins father is
a product of the welfare state and is calling for tax incentives for two-parent families rather than hand-outs for
no-hopers.
The Sensible Sentencing Trust has issued a statement congratulating Detective Senior Sergeant John Tims and his team for
staying focused on ensuring justice was done rather than bowing to public and political pressure to make an early
arrest.
Trust spokesman, Garth McVicar said, “This is an excellent outcome for such a sad event but the real tragedy is that
many more copy-cat child killings will occur unless welfare dependency is terminated – preferably immediately.”
“The welfare state cultivated the environment that not only made this tragedy possible but also predictable, the Kahui
tight 12 made welfare dependency a career choice and government policy sanctioned it.”
Mr. McVicar said it was time to outlaw welfare dependency and ensure every able-bodied man in New Zealand was required
to work and accept responsibility for the children they fathered.
“The welfare state has been a disastrous social experiment –social-vandalism that has cost many innocent children their
lives, rather than limping after a problem of their own creation it is time our political leaders ended this travesty
now.”
The Sensible Sentencing Trust believes a tax-incentive to enable one parent, of two parent house-holds to be able to
stay home and look after the children would be a far better investment than encouraging more government funded child
abuse.
“We believe it is time as a Nation we admitted our mistake and presented a vision that gave incentives for responsible
two parent families.”
