Grey Power Oppose R18 Showings For Prisoners

Grey Power Law and Order, Justice spokesperson, Mr Hamish Perry has today commented on the recent debate,

between the to main Political Parties, as to whether or not R18 films should be available for prison inmates to view.

"Grey Power believes it shows how much out of touch they are with the general feeling of the people in the real world." says Mr Perry.

"Why should there be access to TVs or Videos in prisons, for those who are supposed to be serving a sentence for wrong doing? Sentences should be brought down and served in accordance with the crime committed so as to be a deterrent to other would be offenders, served in an Institution where conditions are such that they in turn deter from reoffending."

"Recently the Government came out with a revised standard of punishment for crime. Nothing has altered. Makethe punishment fit the crime, even if it means increasing LIFE sentences to mean LIFE SENTENCES and certainly make prisons, PRISONS. Then the Police may be able to announce a DECREASE in crime in the North instead of the recent announcement of an INCREASE."
