affiliated unions in Wellington today to discuss more
financial support for distribution workers who have been
locked out by Progressive Enterprises.

out of 27 of Progressive's South Island meat processing
workers in the Meat Workers Union, earning 30% less than the
industry standard, are on their first day of a four day
strike.

Hanson, from the Maritime Union and X from the Railway,
union have been in joint discussions on solidarity actions
with Australian unions including the Maritime Union of
Australia, the Rail Tram and Bus Union, and the Transport
Workers Union, with donations already pouring in from major
Australian unions.
