Rural Women New Zealand to revive Rural Bulletin
Rural Women New Zealand to revive Rural Bulletin
Rural Women New Zealand is delighted to announce that it is taking over the publication of Rural Bulletin, a highly valued source of information for rural people since 1992.
Rural Bulletin, formerly produced by MAF, ceased publication earlier this year.
“Many rural people were sorry to see Rural Bulletin go, and we decided to seek new funding to enable us to revive it” says Sherrill Dackers, Rural Women New Zealand’s National President.
Rural Women New Zealand has been able to secure support from various organisations to re-start publication. Initial funders are Telecom and Mainland Minerals, with more sponsors expected to come on board in the near future. On-going support has also been received from MAF.
Former Rural Bulletin editors Paddy Twist and Craig Matthews have been engaged to produce the new publication, and they will be based at Rural Women New Zealand’s offices in Hawkestone Street, Wellington.
The first monthly issue will be emailed in September. The bulletin will be sent to former subscribers, as confirmed by MAF. Anyone not on the mailing list who wishes to subscribe, should email ruralbulletin@ruralwomen.org.nz.
