ARENA Saddened By Rod Donald's Death

Published: Tue 8 Nov 2005 10:23 AM
The ARENA board, members and supporters are shocked and saddened at the death of Rod Donald.
Rod has spent most of his life working tirelessly for peace, justice and the environment.
Rod was one of a very few parliamentary politician to stand up and speak out on the trade and investment issues of concern to Arena and it is impossible to believe that he will not be there amidst the fight back against the WTO Ministerial in December or as the Government forges ahead with the China/NZ Free Trade Agreement. His energy, enthusiasm, presence and support will be sorely missed.
We join with other peace, social justice and environmental campaigners in honouring his work and commitment, his unique contribution and his unfailing belief that a better world is possible.
To his family, Nicola, Emma, Zoe and Holly and to his Green Party family our hearts and our thoughts are with you, Kia Kaha.
