Shanks disappointed but pleased for Party
National Party candidate Katrina Shanks says she is naturally disappointed that special votes, counted today, resulted in her losing her seat in Parliament.
“Clearly I am disappointed I won’t be able to add my voice to the hugely rejuvenated National Party line-up at this time.
“I’m particularly grateful for the work done by my electorate team in Ohariu-Belmont, where we won the Party vote in the electorate.
“I’m also pleased to have been part of a highly successful National Party campaign and look forward to continuing my close association with the Party,” says Katrina Shanks.
