Republicans ask: Where’s The Strike Wing?

Where’s The Strike Wing?

Saturday night’s episode when a pilot threatened to crash a plane into the Sky Tower graphically illustrates the need for an air strike capability says The Republic of New Zealand Party President Craig Brownlees.

“Two planes should have been scrambled immediately. The pilot should have been forced to land.”

At the very least attack helicopters should be available to protect our largest city he said.

While the leaders of the major parties play phone tag with minor parties the lives of Auckland diners are at risk

“This is total failure of defence policy in a terror ridden world. “

Mr Brownlees said a Republic of New Zealand Party Government would immediately start negotiations with the Australian Government to establish an Anzac Strike Wing.

“We’re going to fix this laughable situation where we are defenceless against attacks from the air and we are going to pull our weight with our ANZAC allies.”
