"There's a mood for change in the Taupo Electorate!"
Destiny New Zealand's Taupo candidate Charles Te Kowhai says grassroots voters are in the mood for change, judging by
his local canvassing and one-on-one visits to business people in the electorate.
Over the last couple of days Mr Te Kowhai has been visiting local shopping centres and CBD business people in Tokoroa,
Ohakune, Raetihi and Turangi and says ordinary New Zealander's are fed up with the direction of this Labour-led
government.
"The response I got from more than 100 businesses reiterated the concern people have about the social and economic
direction of the country," said Mr Te Kowhai.
"I'm pretty sure a change in government is on the cards. Destiny New Zealand is as a realistic centre-right coalition
option post 17 September. Values-based voters will confirm that position for us on Saturday," he added confidently.
Values voters represent a deep undercurrent in the Taupo electorate in rural and urban communities alike. The region has
many faith-based organisations which play a central role in the lives of Pacific Island, Maori and European families
there with Tokoroa a prime example.
Mr Te Kowhai says values-voters will speak loudest on the 17th of September and Destiny New Zealand will reap the
benefits of that.
"Our candidates are unified in our commitment to protect, empower and prosper New Zealand families. That's got to be
good news for New Zealanders as it is a message that is compatible with a new centre-right government!"
