Mâori Television has today released the final results of its
election opinion poll of the Mâori electorates.
Over the past two weeks Mâori Television has announced results for six of the seven Mâori electorates – Tamaki Makaurau, Tainui, Ikaroa Rawhiti, Te Tai Tokerau, Te Tai Hauauru and Waiariki. Outlined below are the results for the Mâori electorate of Te Tai Tonga.
The Te Tai Tonga electorate poll was conducted from 5-12 September 2005 by TNS Research Ltd. Results for the Te Tai Tonga electorate follow:

Sampling Technique Telephone
Interviews. Random selection of telephone numbers
(tele-matched from Mâori Electoral Roll) with quota sampling
to ensure representative cross section by age and sex within
each electorate.
