National’s Top 10 Ignores Moral Concerns
Christian Heritage NZ leader Ewen McQueen said today that voters concerned about moral issues should not waste their
vote on the National Party. He pointed out that none of the top 10 priorities identified in National’s action plan were
related in any way to rebuilding decent family-values back into New Zealand society. McQueen said,
“This action plan shows very clearly that the National Party is committed to inaction on the moral issues that so many
New Zealanders are increasingly concerned about. There is no mention of any policies to affirm marriage, strengthen
families or rebuild respect for the sanctity of human life. This is precisely why Parliament needs Christian Heritage
NZ.”
The CHNZ leader also said that most New Zealanders knew that the country had serious problems with the breakdown of
family life, and this was only going to be addressed by rebuilding decent moral values into society – not by tax cuts or
any of the other items on National’s top 10 priorities list.
The Christian Heritage NZ leader said it was time for all New Zealanders concerned about moral issues to vote into
Parliament a party that would actually do something about these issues.
