Meet The Candidates Meeting August 2nd
Health, Education, Immigration and Human Rights are amongst the topics that ethnic community members will be interested in learning about when meeting their local candidates at a meeting to be held in Wellington on Tuesday 2nd August at 5.45pm at the Loaves and Fishes in Hill Street.
The meeting is being organized by the Ethnic Council Wellington
“It is important that we put questions to our candidates so we can vote wisely based on information not conjecture” says President of Ethnic Council Wellington, Prem Singh.
“Many of us can see improvements that can be made, and we want to make sure that the policies of political parties meet our needs and therefore benefit the broader community. This is a great opportunity for members of all ethnic communities in Wellington to meet the candidates and seek answers to their questions”.
Federation members are tired of being used as political footballs each election. “We get kicked from party to party and it’s not good enough” says Mr Singh
“We are pretty tired of being used for others political gain, we want to engage in constructive discussion and debate on issues that are important to us. We hope this meeting will achieve this” he says
Mr Singh invites members of all ethnic groups in Wellington to attend the meeting. If you require further information please phone
