DESTINY New Zealand Announces Formidable Party List
Destiny New Zealand shows its organisational strength by releasing a formidable party list today.
Two years of careful planning culminates with the release of 42 first class candidates, nationwide. Destiny New Zealand is one of only three parties to contest all of the seven Maori electorates.
“We have a team of outstanding individuals, all of whom have been tried and proven in our communities and who are fully committed to the principles, policies and direction of this party,” says leader Richard Lewis.
Amongst candidates expected to make strong challenges in key electorates are: Dr Edward Saafi (Mangere), a research scientist with published research on diabetes, Hadyn Solomon and Hawea Vercoe, well known in the Maori electorates of Tainui and Waiariki respectively, and Tala Leiasamaivao, former Wellington Hurricane and Manu Samoa representative contesting the Mana electorate.
Party leader Richard Lewis will also put up a spirited challenge for the electorate of Manukau East, an area he policed and knows well.
“All of our candidates will stand toe to toe with every political contender in this election. We represent decisive leadership based on traditional family values – values we want to see restored in the political arena’”, he added.
