"$14.9 Million to Help Government Agencies Get It Together"
A $14.9 million spend-up to help Government agencies work together to reduce domestic violence, is evidence this Government has no idea how to help at-risk New Zealand families.
Charles Te Kowhai, Destiny New Zealand candidate for Taupo, said that taxpayers should already expect Government Agencies to work together collaboratively without the extra cost.
"We would be better off directing those funds to community group's who specialise in family support services. That way taxpayers can be sure support will be targeted where it is needed most, in the homes and families most at risk", said Mr Te Kowhai.
Domestic violence cuts to the heart of Destiny New Zealand's campaign message, which is to protect, empower and prosper New Zealand Families.
"We need to look at addressing the roots of family break-down and having a family friendly Government for a start, would go a long way toward achieving that", he added.
