Repealing the Harlotry Act, an opportunity for National

The release of the report on Prostitution today by the Prostitution Law Review Committee demonstrates the appalling lack of judgement shown by our MPs who voted for legalising prostitution. Prostitution is estimated to be up 40%, but this is highly likely to be a conservative estimate. Many more prostitutes are walking the streets and illegal or unlicensed prostitutes probably outnumber those who are registered, spreading AIDS and other diseases.

Helen Clark’s government and the homosexual and effeminate majority in that party have made sin more evident in public thus further desensitising New Zealanders to moral evil. Now major cities have harlots shamelessly plying their trade in busy thoroughfares, while decent New Zealanders are presumably meant to accept it all and tolerate this great evil. This report should give cause for all New Zealanders to shudder as we sink further and further into the cesspit of the depraved values of the corrupt and immoral neo-pagans who hold on to power.

The National Party has some adherents to traditional morality, although we have cause to think that this is not so for their leader. Electing Dr. Don Brash as leader and failing to support Bill English were two of the silliest decisions made by politicians last year.

Brash is a self-confessed atheist, and yet one who wanted to pray at a Waitangi church service presumably to himself, since he understands that there is no God to supplicate. This kind of duplicity is not going to endear National to the majority of New Zealanders. What is needed to oppose Labour and bring down the hegemony of women, lesbians and homosexuals is a leader with true moral fibre. Such men do exist in National ranks. Were Brash not an atheist, who voted for legalising prostitution, he could win the hearts of decent middle New Zealand by promising to repeal this whoredom Act.

He could point out that prostitution spreads sexual diseases, ruins the lives of young (sometimes very young) women, undermines family life by tempting weak individuals to use prostitutes, and nurtures organised crime. Prostitution is invariably connected to drug use and abuse, and often the context of violence against women- including murder as we saw in Christchurch just this week.

However Brash cannot promise to repeal immoral legislation, because his world-view is informed by the now discredited theory of evolution. After all, if human beings are just animals who happen to be a little cleverer than apes and dogs, then why should the sexual practices of animals not be duplicated in human society? Man, however, is made in the image of God (Gen. 1:26) and only politicians who believe that man is the epitome of God’s creation will be able to authentically and without hypocrisy challenge the immoral social climate, which has been nurtured by the neo-pagans. Why? Because biblical morality is the only authentic morality.
