Nazi skinhead gig to be held in Wellington, Saturday night
Anti-racist activists are concerned that an event dubbed a "white power" concert is to be held in Wellington this coming weekend.
The concert, featuring Australian band "Death's Head, is being organised by the New Zealand branch of the "Blood and Honour" organisation.
"Blood and Honour" is an international nazi skinhead organisation that started in the UK. It's name comes from a WWII nazi SS motto "My blood is my honour".
The planned concert was announced on a members-only white nationalist internet forum that had been infiltrated by a anti-racist activist. Further enquiries revealed that the event was being organised by Perry Adank, a New Zealand organiser for Blood and Honour.
Mr. Adank sent an e-mail stating "the deaths head gig is in wellington i have tickets they are $30 or $40 at the door .it will be held at the satin [sic] slaves but no other bike clubs are invited this is a white power gig only ."
Mr Adank gave his partners address in Lower Hutt as a place that people would be meeting before the concert.
Both Mr Adank and his partner have attended a number of demonstrations held by the National Front in Wellington and Palmerston North over the past year, with Mr Adank's partner wearing a Blood and Honour t-shirt at one demonstration.
