The Prime Minister’s double standards over Tamihere.

In a recent Herald news item, Helen Clark reported that caucus censured Tamihere, but in the same breath said that they all liked him. She also said that his remarks were "grossly offensive", no doubt thinking that since she took the high moral ground over the alleged Mossad passport scam, the Israelis would make much of Tamihere’s gaff over the holocaust in order to embarrass the government. Perhaps we will hear very soon that a deal has been done and Israel have been remarkably restored to being best of friends with the Labour government.

The Herald reported that Clark “said they [Tamihere’s comments] ran counter to the Labour Party's principles, policies of inclusion and respect for all”, but what about Clark’s disrespect for Christians evident in her blasphemy for which she has not apologised to the Christian community.

Naturally the sort of offensive and filthy language used by Tamihere has its counterpart in Helen Clark herself who blasphemes God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ without any thought on how that offends Christians in this country. Why has the caucus not censured Clark over her blasphemy (see www.reformationtestimony.org.nz)? Why is language that offends women, Jews and homosexual “grossly offensive”, but Clark’s blasphemy of the Lord Jesus Christ considered acceptable?

Perhaps we have the answer in another comment. Someone else who can uses obscene language is a “wonderful colleague and puts 150 per cent in”, says the PM. She gives her main concern: “that it doesn't damage our party”. Apparently if the Labour party can avoid losing ground in the polls then anything goes.

Dover Samuels, no stranger to controversy himself, even put Tamihere’s behaviour down to his attempt to cope with stress. Well it must be OK then Dover. The irony is that Tamihere was accurately describing the feminist/effeminate elite who control the Labour party and the government. Pity he spoilt it by his use of filthy language and his silly comments about the holocaust. If he really was a man he would resign and live according to his convictions, rather than weakly submitting to the feminists, lesbians and homosexuals in order to retain his salary and position in the Labour party. Where have all the men gone John?
