Destiny Encouraged by Polls
Destiny New Zealand political party has emerged in two recent poll results adding substance and credibility to its 2005
election campaign.
“We’ve been working very hard at grassroots level and have taken the initiative on issues that impact on New Zealand
families. Our message of empowering families is gaining traction,” says party Leader Richard Lewis.
The Sunday Star Times/BRC poll shows the party registering one percent support for the first time. A TV3/TNS Opinion
poll registered the party ahead of the Alliance, Progressive and Christian Heritage parties. Key elements of leadership,
organisation and ‘message’ have also been attributed to the party as it builds towards the 2005 election.
“For us, politics is about people not power - it’s about strengthening families and creating a positive future for our
children. When you consider that we live under the most anti-family government our nation has ever seen, Destiny NZ’s
entry into politics could not have been timed better,” Lewis added.
