Milne selected as Labour’s Rakaia Candidate and ready to do the job

The Labour Candidate for the Rakaia Electorate for the 2005 General Election is Tony Milne, who will stand for a second time in the electorate.

Tony Milne is a former Youth Health Worker and currently works as an Executive Assistant to a Member of Parliament. Tony knows how Parliament works, and is well connected to a variety of political networks. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree and a first class, first division Bachelor of Arts Honours degree in political science and rural sociology. Tony also sits on the governing board of the Labour Party the NZLP New Zealand Council.

“Over the past 4 years I have worked in the electorate on a variety of important issues. I now want to use my skills working in the youth health sector and with young people, and my experience of parliament and how it works to advocate strongly for the people of Rakaia. I want to bring the government’s successful initiatives to the Rakaia electorate”, Tony Milne says.

“I’m ready to do the job. If elected, I promise to work tirelessly to ensure that Labour’s policies can become a reality for the people of Rakaia”, Tony Milne says.

“It’s time for Rakaia to have an MP who will respect others views and work constructively and actively with all members of our community”, Tony Milne says.
