One Of America's Top Leaders To Address Destiny

"ONE OF AMERICA'S TOP 125 MOST INFLUENTIAL
LEADERS TO ADDRESS DESTINY CONFERENCE";
Bishop Eddie L Long, Senior Minister of Newbirth Missionary Baptist Church in Atlanta [25,000 congregation], will attend Destiny New Zealand's Labour weekend political meeting in Auckland.
"Bishop Long has an incredible ministry to the Black community of America and we are honoured to have his contribution this coming weekend. I believe he will have a special appeal to our local Maori and Polynesian community";, said Destiny NZ leader Richard Lewis.
From a 500-seat chapel in 1987, he built a 3,700-seat sanctuary in 1991, a Family Life Center in 1999, and a 10,000-seat complex was completed in spring 2001. With these accomplishments and many other community-empowering projects, Bishop Long continues to equip people in economics, leadership and business.
Life, member of Board of Directors for Safehouse Outreach Ministries, and honorary member of 100 Black Men of America. Among other honours, his name has been listed among America's 125 most influential leaders. He received the 2003 Leadership Award: Faith/Community Award from 100 Black Men of America, the 2003 Religious Contemporary Award from IRC's "Portraits of Sweet Success, and the 2003 Champion Award for Spiritual Enlightenment from All Children Are Special, Inc. Savoy Magazine also selected him in 2003 as one of The Most Influential Blacks in America.
The public meeting will be held at the Destiny Auditorium situated at 18 Allright Place in Mt Wellington (Auckland) on Saturday 23rd October - 7pm. This will be an opportunity to learn more about the organisation, policies and people behind Destiny NZ. Keynote speakers include Richard Lewis and Bernice A. King.
