Local Government And DHB Election Update
A technical problem delaying the processing of the local government and District Health Board STV voting papers has been identified and resolved.
electionz.com Chief Executive Steve Kilpatrick said he was very pleased to be informed by Datamail, who are contracted to process some of the STV voting papers, that a technical problem in the processing of the results had been identified and the problem resolved.
"Datamail has identified a problem and now, subject to KPMG and Office of the Auditor General review, expects to pass on Datamail's part of the process to Electionz.com by the weekend. The problem identified related to the transfer of files from one phase to another phase".
"The special votes closed earlier today (Wednesday) and Datamail expects to input those special votes tomorrow (Thursday). The process for the reconciliation of the vote count remains ongoing", said Mr Kilpatrick.
