At risk children in Canterbury have received a much needed boost thanks to the generosity of the Rotary Club (Christchurch). As recipients of proceeds from last nights Rotary Ball in Christchurch, the Trust has been presented with two new vehicles.
The Family Help Trust Chairperson, Sally Thompson, says the cars are very much appreciated and will help the Trust's important work with at risk children in high risk families.
"Because we work with families in their own homes, being able to travel to homes all over Christchurch and indeed some parts of Canterbury is a necessity. Our social workers use their own cars so having two new vehicles will be a huge boost and help them even more in their work to protect and support our most at risk children," she says.
