Nurses Move Another Step Towards Fair Pay
Members of the New Zealand Nurses Organisation employed by the 21 District Health Boards today began attending meetings around the country to finalise their claims for upcoming negotiations with DHBNZ.
The members’ meetings will continue until June 25.
NZNO has 20,000 members who are nurses, midwives and health assistants in DHBs. NZNO members have already overwhelmingly voted to focus on winning a Fair Pay settlement and Safe Staffing levels in the negotiations.
Negotiations between NZNO and DHBNZ are set down for 13 and 14 July. The negotiations will be the first national negotiations to determine nurses’ pay for 13 years.
