Bhatnagar announces launch of personal “Weblog”
Aaron Bhatnagar, Hobson Community Board member, today announced that he had started a “Weblog” or “Blog” as they are known colloquially.
“This is an opportunity for residents and ratepayers to receive commentary from me on recent events as they happen. I intend to use the blog to communicate not just about local and central government events, but I might throw in the odd human interest story and recipe from time to time.” said Mr. Bhatnagar.
“Blogs have been a very popular way for politicians to communicate with supporters and voters in the recent American primaries. It offers readers a chance to receive information on where the candidates stand on the issues and what they think of events as they happen. It also provides politicians a chance to put their message across via a new medium,” said Mr. Bhatnagar.
“Some members of Parliament now have blogs as well – Rodney Hide and John Tamihere being two prominent MPs. I don’t know of any local government elected representatives who are blogging yet,” said Mr. Bhatnagar.
“My blog address is http://www.bhatnagar.blogspot.com - all are welcome to visit it and send me feedback via the contact details mentioned on the website,” said Mr. Bhatnagar.
