Higher public transport fares simply mean more pain for communities already struggling
with the cost of living. This also disincentivises people from using public transport
- that means more congestion on roads.
The final Government Policy Statement on land transport 2024 (GPS 2024) outlines
the Government’s ambitious $22 billion transport plan to boost productivity and
support economic growth, Transport Minister Simeon Brown says.
