Direct Action Training Camp Against GE
The Peoples Moratorium Enforcement Agency (PMEA) is organising a weekend long camp of non-violent direct action training to equip the public with the necessary tools to stop the contamination of our fields and food with genetically engineered organisms.
The camp will take place at Mountain Valley School near Motukea on the weekend of January 2-4.
“After five years of campaigning using conventional tactics, we are still being ignored by the government. Direct Action is now all we have left to enforce the will of the people,” said Lenka Rochford from the PMEA
“The camp will be an opportunity for people to take the campaign to the next level and learn how to take direct action against GE.”
The training camp will consist of a series of workshops including supermarket actions, legal implications and dealing with the police as well as blockading, decontamination (crop pulling) and many more.
Details about the camp can be found at www.pmea.org.nz.
