Public meeting in Wellington to demand respect for Ahmed Zaoui's human rights

"We are a better country than this" - Tom Scott

High profile New Zealanders such as cartoonist Tom Scott and former Race Relations Conciliator Gregory Fortuin will join Ahmed Zaoui's lawyers in addressing a public meeting to be held in Wellington next week. Mr Scott and Mr Fortuin will be speaking about why they believe Mr Zaoui must receive a fair trial in New Zealand.

The public meeting has been organised by Amnesty International, CARITAS Aotearoa New Zealand, and the Anglican Social Justice Commission.
