Bring the troops back from Iraq
The wounding of New Zealand soldier Hayden Gardner highlights the fact that New Zealand soldiers are in Iraq as part of the US-led military occupation. "The Labour government has put these soldiers lives at risk so it can win points with George W Bush," said Peace Action Network spokesperson David Colyer.
"New Zealand troops should be withdrawn from Iraq now."
Peace Action Network will be taking this message to the government when it joins a wide range of groups protesting outside the Labour Party conference on Saturday November 8.
Demonstrators will meet at the Bridge of Remembrance at 2pm, on Saturday 8th of November.
