Showgirls Picket To Defend Workers Rights - Fri & Sat 8-10pm
The management of Santa Fe Gold (Showgirls, Penthouse, Flora's, Coyote Ugly) have sacked five cleaners after they joined the Unite Union.

The workers had contacted the union after being subjected to continual verbal abuse including racist comments.

One worker was even assaulted. Management also failed to meet minimum health and safety standards. They weren't being paid sick pay or days off in lieu for working public holidays.

All cleaners are Pacific workers and paid have been paid just $9 an hour for working from 3.30am for 6-7 hours a night without a break.

Unite is fighting for the workers reinstatement and recognition of their full legal right to join a union and negotiate a collective agreement. We need to show the management their behaviour is unacceptable.

Picket Outside Showgirls, Customs Street, Downtown From 8-10pm This Friday And Saturday.
