Labour government still failing students

“Keeping the student loan interest rate at commercial levels is nothing to get too excited about” Alliance party tertiary education spokesperson Laila Harre said today.

Harre was responding to the Labour government’s announcement today that the interest rate for student loans will remain at 7%.

Laila Harre called on the government to make a substantial injection into tertiary education in this year’s budget.
