Protest Outside ASB Tennis Centre
Members Of The Palestine Human Rights Campaign And Students For Justice In Palestine Held A Protest Outside The ASB Tennis Centre In Stanley Street On Saturday.
While Not Wishing To Disrupt The Final Matches Which Were In Progress, The Groups Wanted The Tournament Organisers, In Future, To Invite Only Israeli Participants Who Supported Palestinian Aspirations For Justice And Freedom From Occupation.
Two Members Of Phrc & Sjp Met With Mr Graham Pearce To Deliver Letters To Auckland Tennis Outlining The Groups Concerns - Printed Below - And Also Letters To The Two Israeli Players Who Participated This Year.
