Steel workers back today
Pacific Steel employees are back at work as they continue to pray for their injured workmate.
In a dawn ceremony, a mana whenua representative said a prayer over the site where EPMU delegate Danny Campbell was critically injured in a fall on Monday.
“He also said a prayer for Danny, who is fighting for his life in hospital,” said EPMU organiser Maurice Davis, who organised the ceremony.
Workers are continuing to ask how Mr Campbell, a respected union delegate who was conscientious about health and safety, could have been involved in such an incident.
