SPCS congratulates Minister of Health

"Minister of Health defends rights of Unborn babies"

The Society congratulates the Minister of Health, Hon Annette King, who has just issued a press release stating: "I am satisfied that sufficient justification exists fo me to direct the Waikato [Hospital] Board to say no to pornographic filming in public facilities, and only allow filming where videos are shot for genuine family or hospital purposes."

Her decision will mean that no filming whatsoever of the birth of "Nikki's baby can take place in Waikato Hospital. Steve Crow the porn producer who had hoped to film the event, will no doubt be gutted.

Society President Rev. Gordon Dempsey says:

"Congratulations! The Minister has demonstrated the moral and ethical leadership this country is looking for".

Justice Heath issued a decision in the Hamilton High Court that allowed for a legal loophole. The injunction he issued only blocked the filming of the birth if the stated purpose was the use of the footage for a porn production. It still would have allowed Steve Crow, a director of Vixen Direct Ltd, the largest distributor of hardcore porn videos in NZ, to film the birth of a child for 'private use' and then make it available to an offshore porn company so it could be edited offshore and included in a porn film featuring the child's mother "Niki" a former stripper."

Society spokesperson David Lane says that Mr Crow's grubby little stunt to put the name of his hardcore porn distribution company in lights by exploiting an unborn child has backfired and led to opprobrium being heaped on him and his sleazy industry by leading politicians and a wide cross section of the NZ public.

The Society is urging Mr Crow to close down his distribution of sleazy hardcore porn videos that degrade demean and dehumanise women and are injurious to the public good.
