ACT Advances List Selection

Published: Mon 10 Jun 2002 10:17 AM
ACT New Zealand has advanced its list selection process and intends to finalise its list on 29 June, ACT President Catherine Judd said today.
She said the ballot of members would be sent out this week in anticipation of an early election and all candidates will be advised today of the process, finalised in a meeting of the ACT Board of Trustees yesterday.
“Members will be sent ballot papers and information about each candidate this week, and meet-the-candidate meetings will be held in Auckland, Christchurch and other centres within the next three weeks,” she said.
“ACT intends to be ready to fight an election on the issues of zero tolerance for crime, a tax cut for every worker, prompt world-class health care and restoring excellence in education through choice and better pay for good teachers.”
