Wellington Anti-WTO Actions for November 9

Published: Thu 8 Nov 2001 01:53 PM
9 November 2001 is a Global Day of Action against the World Trade Organisation that begins its Ministerial Meeting in Qatar.
Here in Wellington we will take part in a Carnival against Capitalism to protest about both global and local issues to draw the connections between the problems that we face at home and the world-wide injustices created by capitalism. This day is a chance for anyone who believes that people are more important than profit to join together.
Different organisations are taking responsibility for different activities on the day. Join us for a day of fun, action and alternatives.
