Political Party’s Registration Cancelled
The Electoral Commission announced today it had cancelled the registration of the Asia Pacific United Party.
The decision was based on the Commission’s conclusion that the number of current financial members of the party had fallen below 500.
The Asia Pacific United Party was registered in September 1996 and stood candidates in five electorates at the last election.
In a separate decision, the Commission has registered a logo for The People’s Republic of Aotearoa New Zealand.
