13 Labour MPs As You Have Never Seen Them Before!
* Chris Carter as a fireman
* Lianne Dalziel as Kate Sheppard
* Mark Gosche as a rock band drummer
* Marian Hobbs as a nun on a Harley Davidson...
And this is only the beginning!
"Young Labour's "Fantasy" 2002 calendar, featuring 13 MPs cast as their fantasy job, role or character or representing
their culture, is our major fundraising project for the year. We've been working on an idea that gives a useful product
that can showcase Labour MPs in election year," said Leila Boyle, Young Labour's Vice President and Calendar Project
Manager.
Thirteen stunning images have been shot and produced in sepia tones. Final production of the high-quality collectors'
item is under way.
"There has been a great deal of interest shown by various members of the Party and we are very grateful to the 13 MPs
who have given the time to support what should be a fruitful fundraising exercise," said Michael Clatworthy, Young
Labour Auckland/Northland Representative and Calendar Production Manager.
"This major project marks the continued growth of Young Labour as an ever-more important part of the Labour Party," said
Jordan Carter, Young Labour President. "It's a key part of our effort to be ready for a major role in next year's
general election campaign," he said.
Sales will be made through the Young Labour website ( http://younglabour.org.nz) and through the Labour Party's electorate and sector organisations, at a cost of $25 per calendar.
