Federated Farmers President And Vice President Returned Unopposed

Federated Farmers President Alistair Polson and Vice President Tom Lambie have been returned unopposed for another term. The federation's National Council/Conference, to be held on 17th & 18th July in Rotorua, will confirm the two top elected positions.

Chief Executive Tony St. Clair, acting as Returning Officer, said that Mr Polson and Mr Lambie were the only nominations for the two positions.

"The unopposed return of the President and Vice President demonstrates the support for Alistair Polson and Tom Lambie, and a willingness by Federated Farmers members and officials to endorse the positive direction of the organisation," said Mr St. Clair.

Mr Polson was elected President at the 1999 National Council/Conference after three years as Vice President, with Mr Lambie continuing in the Vice President position.
