Harre Announces 'Get Bonking-For-A-Baby Day'

Published: Mon 14 May 2001 01:47 PM
Its official! "Paid Parental Leave takes effect from April 1 2002, and Laila Harre tells us she is already corresponding with women who want to know when they should get pregnant," says a horrified Lindsay Mitchell, Libertarianz Spokesman. "At last, the almighty Harre can confirm for them that August the 1st is 'Get Bonking-for-a-Baby Day'."
"How revolting society has become. Politicians presiding over people's sex live's. Politicians paying people to procreate. I can't help but ask 'do these people really want a baby?' With the DPB, Family support, and now Paid Parental Leave, the state is creating all the wrong incentives for bringing children into the world."
"Libertarianz would cut tax to aid all families," says Mitchell "but that is where the role of the state ends - giving back what should never have been taken."
"On breakfast TV this morning Liz Gunn described Paid Parental Leave as: 'Honouring the children and honouring the parents.' What utter drivel," Mitchell continues angrily.
"The day that we start honouring ourselves as free-thinking and self- responsible individuals is the day we will wake up and realise that we don't need a government to tell us when to act and what to think."
It's enough to make you vote Libertarianz!
