The move by the BOP regional counsel to establish guaranteed Maori seats is "a great leap into apartheid," says Libertarian Tim Wikiriwhi, who calls on those concerned to join him and do all they can to stop it.

Wikiriwhi, Libertarianz spokesman for the Deregulation of Maori Affairs has declared this move "a moral and political outrage," and described the bureaucrats and politicians involved as "criminals against the equal rights of all New Zealanders. I cannot find words strong enough to condemn this political evil. People should be marching in the streets!" he says. And he plans to.

Wikiriwhi says: "As long as this racist government continues digging New Zealand deeper into an apartheid grave, we shall only witness further entrenchment of Maori in tribalism -- see them trapped in the past -- and all New Zealanders will become trapped along with them. As long as they uphold separatism themselves, Maori can have no mana, but only shame and reproach from their neighbours whose rights they tread underfoot.

"Sandra Lee's pathetic attempt to distance the government from responsibility with words, while physically pushing for the legislation to be enacted is hypocrisy in the extreme," he says. "She speaketh with a forked tongue!"

Wikiriwhi says, "the Labour/Alliance Government is pushing to see this immoral enactment become the norm for all such local bodies, which is exactly in keeping with this government's agenda of separatism and the destruction of the rights of the individual. Governments have deceived New Zealanders into embracing apartheid, using every tool at their disposal: the education system, state TV and media, and legislation."

Libertarianz policy is to remove all distinctions of race from New Zealand legislation, making all New Zealanders equal before the law. To remove the Maori sets from parliament; to remove the Maori electoral role; to abolish the Maori Affairs portfolio; to remove the Waitangi tribunal.

"Libertarianz is not anti-Maori, we are anti-apartheid," affirms Wikiriwhi. "We hope to gain the support of the Maori people by telling them the truth, not leading them further down the garden path with more separatist lies."

"We intend to institute a new constitution for New Zealand enshrining the sovereign and equal rights of all New Zealanders, thus ending apartheid governance of New Zealand. And we intend to protest this latest form of racism.
