Cancerous Health System To Get Facelift - Libz

"Helen Clark's proposed restructuring of the public health system will create yet another bureaucratic army that promises to eat out the substance of taxpayers in the same way a tumour feasts on its host," said Libertarianz health deregulation spokesman Richard McGrath.

"A bill is due to be tabled in parliament today which will herald a massive job creation scheme for public servants, local stickybeaks and other busybodies, who are to be kept off the streets by being employed in various District Health Boards," said Dr McGrath.

"The government's message is clear," McGrath added. "New Zealanders are too incompetent to make provision for the health needs of themselves and their loved ones, and too mean-spirited to voluntarily contribute to charities who could fund health care for the less fortunate."

He expects the latest wave of public health appointees to follow the precedent set by the RHAs before them, spending vast amounts of other people's money on consultants, mission statements, computers and thousand dollar chairs. He expects also to keep a close eye on his wallet!
