New Zealand’s Human Abattoirs’ Ever Increasing Toll Tragedy
In commenting on the record levels of New Zealand’s just announced abortion statistics for year 1999, Gael Donoghue, Christian Heritage Party Health Spokesperson said.
“It is an absolute tragedy to see the human abattoirs working overtime in our country killing so many of us. How long will it take for politicians and the medical staff responsible for this holocaust to realise this rising toll is being encouraged by consecutive governments, misguidedly pouring more and more taxpayers money into oral contraceptives, condoms, and sex education in school?” she asks.
“The public is constantly told these very things will lower the abortion rate! These figures, of 15,501 abortions last year, show us clearly that this is simply not the case. $16 million was spent by National, when Mrs Shipley was Health Minister, on contraceptives and school sex education. Look at the results – continuing rising annual abortion statistics!
“The current government last week through Pharmac funded another $15,000 on the so-called ‘morning after pill’ – ie abortifacients to procure chemical abortions, to add to the taxpayer funded surgical abortions. Up until now general practitioners have been prescribing higher doses of oral contraceptives to procure early abortions anyway. This particular specific pill levonorgestrel is used for exactly the same purpose. Sadly all these measures do not lower the abortion rate, but are facilitating, encouraging, and increasing promiscuity, sexually transmitted diseases and abortion. Society’s lax moral attitude has also a large part to play in regard to the behaviour of our young and not so young. This is probably part of the reason for the statistic of 32.6% of the women aborting last year having already had one or more abortions previously, compared with 21% a decade earlier,” said Mrs Donoghue.
The Christian Heritage Party is committed to the preservation and protection of human life, to upholding the legal rights of the unborn child, and is the only political Party to do so consistently,” Mrs Donoghue said. “We believe family life is being systematically eroded in New Zealand, and abortion is but one ugly facet in the breakdown of the family. More family values promotion in legislation is required to start addressing the abysmal failure that the abortion toll statistics represent,” concluded Gael Donoghue.
