The indecent haste of the Government to return the accident compensation scheme to a state monopoly defies logic, ACT ACC spokesman Ken Shirley said in Parliament tonight .
"All the evidence confirms substantial savings from lower premiums following the introduction of a competitive market," Mr Shirley said.
"At the same time accident rates fallen because employers now have incentives to minimise risk.
"There was no advice from state agencies to the incoming Government that supported the move to renationalise ACC.
"It is ideologically driven dogma by a government that's proving itself to be anti-business, anti-choice and anti-competition."
