The Alliance is launching a campaign to remind people of Winston Peters' betrayal at the last election.
'People need to be reminded of Winston Peters betrayal of his voters by going with National last election,' Alliance whip Grant Gillon said
'We are using Winston Peters' own words so voters can be clear about his record.
Just two months before the election Winston Peters said
'I shudder at the prospect that a foreign owned company will be given control of some of this nations most valuable resources.'
'While Winston Peters was treasurer he signed off the sale of 166,800 hectares of land to foreign interests and approved $11.7 billion of foreign investment,' Grant Gillon said.
Winston Peters also said
'There is only one party that can beat National in this election and that is New Zealand First
'We all know that far from beating them he delivered the country to them once again.
'Winston Peters was going to 'hand the cheque back' to the Chinese for the forests that were sold by National. When he went to China as National-NZ First's Treasurer no cheque was handed back at all.
'His most telling remark was a mere three days before the election
'We are a party that says what we mean and mean what we say - regardless of the political consequences.'
'His track record proves otherwise,' Grant Gillon said.
Orders for campaign stickers are available from the Alliance parliamentary office on (04) 471 9011.
