The Alliance has released its party list naming the people who will be at the heart of a new government.
'The Alliance has offered New Zealander voters a group of very talented, committed people of diverse backgrounds and experience,' Alliance Leader Jim Anderton said.
'In the top twenty 45% are women, 20% are Maori and 5% Pacific Islanders.
'A wide range of professions are represented from business to farmers and from the armed services to community workers.
'The Alliance also has a high proportion of younger candidates coming through who will be the face of the Alliance in the next millennium.
'People are tired of National and frightened of Act. Those on the Alliance list are people who care about New Zealand and have a vision for what kind of national we all want to see built again.
'With such a group of talented candidates the Alliance is eagerly looking forward to the election campaign whenever it is held,' Jim Anderton said.
A copy of the list and biographies of candidates can be obtained from Steven Collett on (04) 471 9289 or (021) 626 303 or on the Alliance website at www.alliance.org.nz
