Peter Dunne - Thank You Tau

THANK YOU, TAU
United New Zealand leader, Hon Peter Dunne, says bully-boy politics from Tau Henare and Mauri Pacific are the main reason the Government has dropped plans for tax cuts legislation before the election.
"Struggling middle New Zealanders, who see the prospect of tax cuts as some relief, have only Tau and his mates to thank for this."
"Now, they face the prospect of uncertainty through the election campaign to see whether a Government sympathetic to their plight is elected, or whether they will have to live with a left-wing Government that will put their taxes up," he says.
Mr Dunne says that Mauri Pacific's actions in scuttling the tax cut plans show the worst side of MMP politics that will further disenchant many middle ground voters.
However, he says, one good things has come out of Mauri Pacific's actions.
"At least, now they know where to direct their anger at the latest turn of events, and that if they are to get tax cuts, they need to give their Party vote to parties like United that are committed to seeing their tax burden reduced," he says.
